Terms & Conditions for Yurt and Emperor Tent
French Fields Luxury Glamping is run by us, Stan and Mary Hayley. Our aim is to ensure that your stay with us is a memorable experience that you will treasure.
We request that you read and agree to our terms and conditions, which must be adhered to by any guests who choose to stay at French Fields Luxury Glamping. Adhering to our terms and conditions ensures that we can maintain our standards and ensure your safety. It also establishes a clear legal contract for cancellation, damage and other circumstances.
Booking
When you make a booking, a confirmation email will be sent to you confirming the booking of the Yurt, dates, times and payments details of your stay. Booking and payment is considered the establishment of a legal contract, so please ensure you have read and understood all of our terms and conditions.
We require a 25% deposit at the time of booking to make a reservation, with the balance paid 8 weeks before your holiday. If, at the time of booking, your holiday is less than six weeks away, we request payment in full. Payments can be made by Bank Transfer or Paypal.
In lieu of the refundable security deposit, you agree to notify us, the owners, of any damage to the Yurt or our property. Furthermore, you also agree to be invoiced by us, for any damage to the Yurt or our property caused by, during and arising from your stay with us. Compensation for damage will normally be limited to the cost of replacing or repairing the damage and any consequences of that damage.
Although highly unlikely, in the event of the Yurt not being available due to fire, flood or other unforeseen circumstances, French Fields Luxury Glamping cannot accept liability or responsibility for any loss, including consequential loss, but the full cost of the holiday will be refunded.
Linen hire is included in the cost of your booking. This includes duvets, duvet covers, pillows, pillow cases, bed sheets, tea towels, hand towels and bath towels. Please note that pool/beach towels are not provided.
Cancellation Policy
In the event of a cancellation within 30 days of the due arrival date, the balance in full is required. Should we, the owners, be able to re-let the Yurt, a refund will be made, minus a 10% administration fee.
Insurance
We strongly recommend that you arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy, (including cancellation cover) and to have full cover for all of your personal belongings, public liability etc as these things are NOT covered by our (the owners) insurance.
General Information
Arrival
The period of rental agreed will commence at 2pm on the day of arrival and finish at 10am on the day of departure. We, the owners, are not obliged to offer the accommodation to you before that time, however sometimes, out of high season, this may be possible by prior arrangement.
Breakages/Damage
We will only charge for replacements in exceptional cases, as we expect a degree of wear and tear and ask that you inform us if anything is broken or damaged.
Cleaning
We will empty the bins, clean the showers and toilets and take away any recycling on a daily basis. Please do not wear outside shoes inside the Yurt and leave your Yurt clean and tidy on departure.
Fire
No firearms or hunting equipment, fireworks, Chinese lanterns etc are permitted on site. No naked flames of any sort are permitted inside the Yurt…this includes the use of candles.
Guests will be held responsible for any fire, damage or alteration to the structure caused by negligence.
The Yurt has a smoke and carbon monoxide detector and a fire extinguisher. Stoves are safe if used properly – instructions are provided and should be read before use. Stoves should not be lit by anyone under the age of 18.

We take every care to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable holiday, but cannot be held liable for any accidents or consequential loss.
Noise
We do not allow loud, amplified music as this would disturb local residents. Please keep noise to a minimum after 10pm. Quiet talking or soft music played via an IPod docking station or small Bluetooth speaker inside the Yurt is acceptable. Anyone committing a nuisance or disturbing the peace may be asked to leave without a refund.
No Smoking Policy
There is a strict No Smoking Policy inside the Yurt. Anyone who smokes outdoors is responsible for disposing of their cigarette ends in the bins or ashtrays provided and must not litter the surrounding area.
Pets
Friendly Dogs are allowed, but I must stress that our land, (12 acres) is not enclosed. Staked 20m leads are available. Please contact me for further information.
Lost or stolen property
A lock box will be provided and is held in the owner’s home, but we cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen property.
